Welcome!

Welcome to the East Providence Public Learning Circle on How to Talk About Race. Many of us want to have honest conversations around race, equity, and inclusion, but don't know where to begin. A learning circle offers a safe, simple, and structured way to participate in an open and respectful discussion where everyone's experience is valued, and everyone has something to contribute.

Course materials we'll use

“How to Talk about Race” is a free 5-week program framework for learning how to moderate discussions about race. Join Joyce and Ryan of the East Providence Public Library staff to explore the skills to run effective and considerate book discussions, group conversations, and other programs about race in your communities.
