Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the learning circle! We are Dragan Gill, reference librarian at RIC Adams Library, and Julie Holden, Asst. Library Director at Cranston Public and current RILA president. Participants will need access to a computer and internet access in order to use the course and its activities, as well as a webcam and microphone to participate in the weekly online sessions. Tech support and accessibility options are available! Please contact dgill@ric.edu for more information.

Course materials we'll use

“How to Talk about Race” is a free 5-week program framework for learning how to moderate discussions about race. Though this material can be used by anyone, we designed it specifically to equip library employees with the skills to run effective and considerate book discussions, group conversations, and other programs about race in their communities.
