Facilitated by
Isaiah
Hello, my name is Isaiah! I love music, reading, sports, and culture!
Welcome!
In this circle, we will share, listen to, and reflect on music through different lenses (ie. historical context or personal meaning) to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the art form. Think of it as a music based book club. No musical expertise or knowledge required, just curiosity and a love for sound!
I started this circle because I love the way music can spark reflection and create connection. You don’t need to know any type of theory or be a certain kind of listener to join, just bring your ears and your voice!
Course materials we'll use
We'll use a variety of different resources from musicians, music theorists, cultural critics, and music discovery platforms. These will serve as useful guides and inspiration, but the heart of this circle lies in discussion. Your curiosity, perspective, and personal connection to the music itself will be our most valuable resources!
