Welcome!
Welcome to a learning circle of individuals that are passionate about Italian language, literature, culture and immersive conversation at an intermediate to advanced intermediate level. We meet for 60 minutes of Italian conversation weekly based on agreed upon reading. Our past books and conversations included In Altre Parole by Jhumpa Lahiri or La Figlia Oscura by Elena Ferrante. Our next book choice is likely to be Le Piccole Virtu' by Natalia Ginzburg or Clash of Civilizations Over an Elevator in Piazza Vittorio based on member preference.
Course materials we'll use
A typical session is a conversation in Italian on the author and the week's reading, an exchange of observations, reflections, and questions. The discussion is consistently in Italian and members of the group support each other with grammar, usage, conjugation, etc. when needed. The experience is fun, immersive, motivating, gratifying and often inspiring.
