Hi! My name is Jenny and I've been part of our learning services team here at the Advanced Learning Library since January 2019. As a lifelong learner myself, I think learning circles are important because education should be accessible to everyone, not just those that have the time or can afford to take classes. Also, learning is more fun with other people! A little about me; I love reading historical fiction and fantasy novels and also enjoy knitting, sewing and weaving.

Welcome to the course! Thank you for signing up and I look forward to meeting everyone. My name is Jenny and I'll be your facilitator for this learning circle. I'm a librarian in our adult programming department and love cooking and learning more about "slow living". I'm hoping with this course we all get to learn how to enjoy the food we eat more and how slowing down can help us be happier and healthier.
Course materials we'll use
In this course, we’ll explore the history of our changing food environment, the science behind cravings for unhealthy foods AND most importantly, you’ll learn some concrete strategies for rebuilding your relationship with food.
